On October 21 Avia Prime groups Polish MRO, LINETECH, concluded current base maintenance projects with Lufthansa Group. The year-long contract included almost 50 E190 jets.
Undoubtedly, the biggest success of the first base maintenance line is a short TAT. LINETECH has delivered around 105% performance since virtually every airplane has left the base in Katowice Airport ahead of schedule. Annually, LINETECH works with about 90 E-jets, which makes Katowice Base one of the biggest Embraer MRO’s in Poland.?
Their TAT was drastically reduced with the benefit for the airlines since 6 additional aircraft could be maintained. During the last 12 months, Lufthansa Group outsourced base maintenance of over 80 airplanes to Avia Prime.?
“It’s a real challenge to achieve the short TAT, when dealing with Service Bulletins, complex checks and, most importantly – strict EASA rules. That is why we perceive the first line as a total success, that showed the amazing capabilities of our MRO’s” – says Piotr Kaczor, CEO of LINETECH and Avia Prime group. “Our relationship thrives, as we enter the new season with new Lufthansa Group jets in all of our facilities – Katowice, Ljubljana, and soon Rzeszow”.
Avia Prime and Lufthansa truly go a long way – it all started with Adria Tehnika, Slovenian MRO, that full stake was bought by Avia Prime in 2015. It is where Lufthansa Groups CRJ’s and some of the Airbus A320 jets are serviced. Since 3Q of 2018 LINETECH, second Avia Prime MRO joined the operations, servicing the E190 fleet of LH. “We did our best, and crave for much more” – Kaczor sums up.?
The E190 that visited LINETECH Katowice base are Lufthansa, Finnair, Air Dolomiti, TUI, and British Airways CityFlier to name a few. In other Avia Prime MRO, Adria Tehnika, the Lufthansa Group Customers include Brussels Airlines, Swiss, Austrian, and Edelweiss.?
Last year Avia Prime logged over 1,2 million man-hours with around 250 heavy checks. Currently, Avia Prime supports 18 independent base maintenance lines.?
